April 2018

Updated: Sep 1, 2018

It’s been a busy week for Janette’s Companionship Service, but as always a truly rewarding one. Our activities last week and this week have included: - Making a Valentines Card Cooking some individual apple pies Played Scrabble Chatted and had a cup of tea Went out for lunch Visited the library Done some sewing Watched a film

Sorted out a cupboard and reminisced over some wonderful old photographs.

Having a stroll around the village and taking the dog with us for a walk, many people stop and talk to you when you have a dog, it’s a good way of making new connections – even if it’s just a ‘hello’ – you would be surprised how you can make a positive impact by that simple word ……….. and a smile.

Went to a local Companionship Club. This club is held at Cranworth Village Hall on the 3rd Thursday of every month and they are looking for new members. A wonderfully friendly group of retired people who meet for a light lunch and play cards, board games in the afternoon. It only costs you £1.00 and excellent value for a few hours socialising. Raffle Tickets can be bought if you wish as there is a monthly raffle. Also other exciting things happening. Please contact me if you would like further information. Looking forward to meeting my lovely people next week already. Have a great weekend everyone.
