Have had a lovely week with my clients and the sunny weather at the end of this week has certainly cheered everybody up.

Just visiting someone for a chat and a cup of tea makes a surprising difference to someone who is lonely or feels isolated. People can be housebound for a great number of reasons and I have learnt this week how valuable having a conversation can be.

Talking for 10 minutes is as beneficial as playing brain games.

Face-to-face conversations can lower depression symptoms.

Simply looking at someone activates the brain’s language system.

I’m here to help if anyone knows anyone who may be lonely and needs some company or support in and around the home.
